Safiyyah Says; GLITTER.

OK, I know on Instagram I said I would not post anything due to exams but my minds gone blank. I can't even sleep or eat (how can I say no to food!!)  But I needed to rave about these cosmetic glitters that are super cheap and really top notch.

Hologram, Copper and Gold (left to right) glitter shakers from Stargazer retailing £3.00 each.
Fix Gel retailing £1.50 each, also from Stargazer

So the packaging is essential when investing in glitters because it can get very messy! The pots have a screw off lid with a sprinkle layer to stop glitter from spilling, which you can also take off which is perfect if you are going to use a lot. Fix Gel is probably a basic glitter glue to help keep these glitters to keep in place.

I would definitely would NOT recommend using lash glue on your eye lids other than for using for lashes. Your eye area is very delicate so invest in a glitter glue. Fix Glue is probably not the best ones you can find but it was cheap and cheerful.

I applied a thin coat of the glitter glue and added the glitters. This was with only one coat and you can definitely go over it again. If glitter gets onto any other parts of your body you can use a wipe to clean it up. (I was just super lazy and messy; I call it creativity)

Hologram is a white/ silver glitter with flexes of blues in flash photography. This is perfect for when you have to take pictures, your makeup will become alive.
Gold is your basic but classic gold.
Copper is my favourite out of them all due to the peach tones in flash photography with some flexes of silver. I think this one best suits my skin tone with keeping the drama to a certain level.

I really recommend these products for prom coming up if you are going to DIY. I can really imagine an Arabic cut crease using black or browns to blend. Or you can do one better and do +LOOKAMILLION glitter liner with a black smokey eye. I will definitely use this on clients for prom and also for other events. (Details bellow)

If you are doing makeup on yourself make sure you do your research and know what you want. Last minute looks may seem not thought about and may also clash with your dress. If your dress is a little plain its fine to make your makeup stand out a littler more. But if your dress is full with bling I'd keep it natural with perfecting your foundation (without making it look caked up), sculpting your face and add a nude lip. If your lips are bold tone down your eyes and if your eyes are bold tone down the lips. At the end of the day, what would I know. I'm not a makeup artist...
